Review Two Main Goals
1. Focus on fun and engagement for lifetime participation and inclusion.
2. Focus on high standards of excellence throughout the club.
CCC1:
· Transition with new Coaching Director, Declan Jennings, complete.
· Re structure of both Academies
· Two hugely successful community days
· Coaching workshops completed with academy coaches.
· Foundation training course scheduled for all mentors in November.
Coaching and Development:
· 300 school children reached with 11 school contacts across 2 school blitzes.
· Hosted 2 internal boys’ and girls’ blitz, reaching 130 CCI players.
· 17 BK coaches completed Safeguarding1 training.
· Hosted 2 player development session for CCC2 Boys and Girls reaching 72 players.
Finance:
· Club accounts for 2023 sent to Bank of Ireland and waiting to hear back on approval for a credit facility.
· National GAA club draw, club to review an opportunity to sell 3000 tickets at €10. Draw takes place on the 24th of March 2024.
· Club Race Day 29th December 2023.
· Successful sports quiz, aim to run on an annual basis.
· Annual Golf classic took place on August 25th.
· Pitch signage incentive continues to be a fantastic fundraising venture with close to 90 sold to date.
Governance:
· New club constitution drafted and to be adopted at AGM.
· DLP DDLP and Childrens officer information on display in the clubhouse.
· Several successful grant applications during 2023.
· Several Child Safeguarding policies added to the club website.
· 2023 Conflict of Interest and Inclusion Policy both signed at Executive.
Community:
· Developed a rapport with DCU, BITE, Cross Care (DCC) and Trinity Comprehensive.
· Very positive meetings with DCU Access. Advertised to our 6th years re open night and additional supports.
· DCU Sport - TY placements offered.
· BITE: Diane will visit the club house as many times as needed, she has invaluable knowledge re college access, grants, and additional supports. She will work on a one to one/team basis. Workshops on study skills and support to anyone already in 3rd level education. Incredible support.
· Following a meeting with DCC, the club had a healthy eating demonstration for the 13’s and 14’s. Now have a contact to arrange more.
· Really productive meetings with DCU Access and how interested they were in encouraging our younger members through sports and education.
CCC2:
· Organised a nutrition talk for both the U13 Men and Ladies Teams
· Fielded a team in U13 to U16 inclusive Ladies Championship (first time ever)
· U15 Boys and Girls team trips to Holland as part of a Team building exercise.
Communications:
· Relationship developed with Clubzap with test teams set up.
· A hugely successful Ballymun All-star’s trip to Tayto Park took place in June 2023.
· A fantastic event took place to celebrate Dublin All Ireland victory in Pairc Ciceam on July 31st. This was picked up by several media outlets.
Facilities:
· Drawings for the clubhouse completed with two feasible options to go forward.
· QS detailed estimates for both options available
· Discussions continue in relation to Site 31
· Part time caretaker in situ
· Annual clean up by members and volunteers
