Another deeply saddening day within the club ranks, as we discovered of the passing of the legendary Mick Brady.

Mick was a supporter, member and friend to the club since he moved to Dublin many decades ago. With his sidekick Liam (Maxi) McGowan (RIP) they were a formidable duo in any slagging match, but always loyal to a fault to all their friends and most especially, the club, behind it all.

Mick was a thoroughly loyal Lilywhite supporter, but in the inevitable annual day when Kildare were knocked out of championship, he became a Dub. "Us Dubs must stick together" being his go to phrase.

He was always a tremendous asset to us all in the club, with his hard working etiquette, his sharp wit, love for a pint and a song in HQ. A keen golfer and competitor Mick's deep understanding of all sports was often the topic of conversation over the odd jar, but not for long as he always enquired as to the well being of friends and family he may not have seen for some time. He truly was the epitome of the word friend and will be loved and missed by all.

We in the club, extend our deepest sympathies to his real sidekick Belle and all his family in this most difficult of times, but we want you to all know, that Mick absolutely enriched our lives with his presence. We thank you for sharing him with us, because above all his magnificent traits mentioned, he was a loving and caring family man, a husband, dad, grandad and brother. May he rest in peace. We will of course post the arrangements here when they become available.
